Stump the Chumps Q&A: Monitoring Battery Temperature

On April 23, 2012, Posted by , In Uncategorized, By ,,,, , With Comments Off on Stump the Chumps Q&A: Monitoring Battery Temperature

Why is it important to monitor and measure temperature during the entire charge cycle? In my experience, most battery/charging companies state it’s not important and you can lower the overall equipment costs by deleting the extras.

Temperature compensation adjusts the charger output, optimizing the ampere hours that can be returned to the battery for any charge cycle. Adjusting the transition voltages and currents automatically during charge ensures that the battery can and will provide maximum energy between charge cycles.
